Upon finishing our cruise trip in luxor we choosed to see all the sites in luxor in private. Bastet travel was s good choice. Adel, our guide was more than perfect agency as well.

We booked before we arrived in the hopes of having a wonderful tour, but our expectations were far exceeded by an outstanding explanation of the areas we visited!

Mahmoud, our guide, met us in the morning and waited patiently at reception while we completed breakfast. Mahmoud's English was quite clear and good, which made comprehension very easy. Mahmoud was incredibly knowledgable about Ancient Egypt and the locations we viewed. Hany told us many things that other guides would not, and he answered all of our questions about Egypt.

Mahmoud's local knowledge has been essential. Mahmoud made the rest of our trip extremely easy as we had several things not scheduled, and he wasn't pushy because he gave his honest view on rates.
Finally, we highly recommend Mahmoud and the agency Bastet Travel; we will definitely return.

Amro at Bastet Travel put together an amazing ten day private tour for our family of four that started with our pick up at 1:00am at Aswan Airport, and saw us travel the Nile from Abu Simbel to Cairo.
We are from New Zealand and have travelled a lot as a family and always independently, not using tours or guides. I’m grateful we did our research and decided that for this trip to Egypt we were best to get the support of a tour company to organise guides, drivers, tickets etc. Bastet Travel are a local tour company with all the insight and on the ground knowledge that brings. Their guides and drivers were amazing - shout out to Abdalla Hashem based out of Luxor, Khaled our Cairo guide and our Luxor driver Sammi (feeling safe in the road in Egypt is no small thing!).
We flew to Abu Simbel, drove to Aswan, cruised to Luxor and overnight trained to Cairo. We visited Abu Simbel, Philae Temple, Karnak Temple, Luxor Temple, Luxor Museum, Valley of the Kings, Queens and Nobles, Dendara, Kom Ombo, Giza plateau and Saqqara. We cruised, fellucca’d, swam, rode a camel, hot air ballooned, watched alabaster, essential oil and papyrus manufacture. It was a blast!
Picking a local tour company meant that we got to meet more locals, eat roasted sweet potato off the side of the road, escape hotel food for takeaway pizza from the best local joint and find a decent swimming spot on the Nile.
Being on a private tour with Bastet Travel means you have the flexibility to miss the crowds at the monuments, answer all the questions you have at the places you visit,
stay as long or short as you want somewhere (helpful in the heat!), add things in and take things out of your tour.

Bastet travel saved the day for me and my friends. We had trip planned and paid for with another company and they “postponed “our trip 4 days before departure. Bastet helped us replan our trip and I’m sure we had a better time with their help.

We did 2 days in Cairo with all the major attractions with our wonderful guide Dina who was very knowledgeable and helpful. She made sure we did everything on our list for Cairo before we left.

We then did a 4 day Nile Cruise with our awesome guide Waleed Mourad! Waleed treated us like family. He is very knowledgeable and funny. He helped us negotiate prices, took us to eat great authentic Egyptian food and was always on time. He went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our trip.

I highly recommend them both and can’t wait to go back to Egypt to explore more and visit my mew friends!!

Our five-star experience is totally due to the guide we had on the second day. Essam spoke wonderful English and was very learned and passionate about ancient Egypt. He was serious with a great sense of humour and made our visit to the temples of Luxor and Karnak fascinating. We just wish we'd had him in the Valley of the Kings. We would would not hesitate to recommend him and are looking forward to return trips with him.

I don’t know where to begin! My husband and I took a 2 day tour of Luxor and Aswan in Egypt. We’re originally from the United States so we were skeptical of booking a tour guide from across countries but man are we glad we did that!! This tour company is literally amazing and reasonably priced compared to competitors.

Our tour began with a suggestion from Bastet Travel that I’m soooo glad we took which was the hot air balloon ride. It is extremely early in the morning but well worth it! The experience is something you’ll never forget. Also, our balloon pilot Antar was amazing and it made the experience feel so safe.

Then, after relaxing at our hotel for 2 hours we were picked up in a private car (part of the package we chose) driven by Mohamed. Mohamed is truly a gem. He’s so respectful, drives carefully in the crazy streets of Egypt, and provided snacks in the car to keep us comfortable throughout the day. We met our tour guide for day 1 in Luxor, Abdullah. Abdullah was extremely informative and shared the stories of each temple in such a way that kept us interested at all times. His English was impeccable and his educational background was impressive. He also gave us our own personal time at each temple to take pictures on our time while he waited elsewhere.

On the second day of our tour, we were picked up by Mohamed and we took a 4 hour drive to the second city, Aswan. I was dreading this car drive but he did everything to make sure we’re comfortable that we slept majority of the time. We met our second tour guide Yousef. Our first destination, Philea temple, didn’t go as anticipated due to high winds because it needs a boat ride to reach its final destination. Without hesitation, Yousef came up with a plane to re-route to the Nubian village first and then by the time we’re finished the winds would calm down. The entire boat ride to the village, Yousef made sure to explain the different things we would see and ask about. He also took pics and videos of us that made the memories so much better. Yousef was very knowledgeable and explained the temple with detail and dedication.

I cannot express how happy I am with the decision to go with this tour guide company when there are many other options. Companies like Bastet travel deserve blessings because they’re an honest and fair company. Thank you guys for the experience of a lifetime.

We went on Bastet Travel’s West Bank of Luxor guided tour.

The guiding, transportation arrangements, and itinerary were all quite good. The guide especially communicated history and general knowledge of the places we toured (Deir el Bahri, Colossi of Memnon, and select tombs of in the Valley of the Kings) in a quiet, informative manner while also being conscientious to allow us space and time to do our own exploring.

Visited Luxor in October with our guide Mohammed, who was very helpful and knowledgeable. Lunch at an authentic local restaurant was also included. The tour from Marsa Alam to Luxor was long but the trip was definitely worth it.

Was a very good experience. Our guide Muhammed was a excellent guide, explained everything about Luxor and the lunch was in a tipic Egyptian restaurant. Was a great time. Thank you so much.

We had an incredible experience on our 5 day Nile cruise with Hany as our guide. Hany made the trip. His knowledge and passion of the ancient history and ability to easily navigate us through the crowds and entrances made this a great vacation. Hany has a fun sense of humor and good command of the English language. He goes above and beyond what is required of him making sure all of our needs were net throughout the trip, even after the excursions were done for the day. We feel extremely fortunate for the gifts of Hany’s time and shared knowledge.

What a great day in Luxor yesterday! Thanks to our super guide, Super Mo, we enjoyed the best sites, tombs, temples and museums. He organized every visit efficiently and creatively. His ample knowledge on Egyptian history allowed us to learn the reason behind even the smallest hieroglyphic and taught us that every artistic choice had a specific religious origin. We fell in love with Hatshepsut after he’d told us her amazing story: the only she-pharaoh of time. He gave us the possibility to see both Luxor’s history and its present as we toured the city and ate at a local restaurant where we enjoyed a typical meal of the place.

We flew to Luxor for 24 hours and wanted to see a lot. Bastet accommodated all our needs and helped us maximize our experience. We highly recommend them for tours because they are honest and professional.

We did 2 half day tours on the West bank in Luxor
These were organized with Adel Amro of Bastet travel. We came out with a realistic schedule, also taking into account the 3 generations of the group, and covered the major sites.
Adel was a very responsive partner and also a good communicator.
Transport was punctual and of good quality.
The guides were knowledgeable and responsive .

We booked a guided trip via Bastet Travel to Luxor from Marsa Alam. Very smooth communication with organiser via WahtsApp. The tour was just for 2 of us in English. Transport by comfortable car with a very good driver.

After arriving in Luxor, we met Abdulla who explain every available option for us. For first 3 days we visited most famous places around Luxor and we have taken a balloon flight.
We were so impressed about the whole experience that we decided to take 2-day trip to Aswan and Abu Simbel. Everything well organised with private driver and tour guide.

We went with my husband to Luxor for a few days. On the first day we contacted Abdulla who came to our hotel at the same day and explained us in details what and when would be best to visit. Based on his recommendation we chose the east and west bank, city tour, the hot air balloon flight and two days trip to Aswan and Abu Simbel. Everything was well organised. Our tour guides were professional, knowledgeable and nice. The hotel in Aswan was good and clean with good quality products for breakfast. Each full day trip package included launch. We were taken to good Egiptians restaurants serving tasty foods.

My wife and I spent 7 days in Luxor and its surroundings, as we are in love with ancient Egyptian culture.
The organization was excellent. The hotel was good (I may estimate it as **** instead of 5*). Unfortunately, 4 different tour guides provided the necessary information. Fortunately, the most knowledgeable Abdalla was with us for 4 days.

Tour well organised and I like visiting the sound and light Shaw guide was so polit and professional and give us a very huge information about the sight seeing and Philae temple

I have been to cairo and alexandria fo 5 days, it was a short break. Really enjoyed watcing the pyramids . what really was fasinating was te tombs under ground in alexandria, they call it the catacombs.

My wife and I did a private tour where we visited Cairo, Aswan, Luxor and Abu simbel. 
During the tour we felt very safe and  enjoyed  everything Egypt had to offer. We had two tour guides during our vacation. Ahmed, who guided us through Cairo, Saqqara and Giza, was really knowledgeable, funny, kind and made sure we had a great time.
Then we met Amro who guided us in Luxor and aswan, was very knowledgeable too.

I told Amro, from Bastet I wanted to see as much as possible of Egypt within our time. He created a dream trip for me. As requested our days were packed with exotic sites and activities. The accommodations were very nice with great staff. The transportation was exactly as described with great drivers. The food was such great quality and so many options. I had an unbelievable day trip from Cairo to Luxor with Bastet Travel Egypt. We been picked up at the early morning from Cairo hotel, and flew to Luxor where I was greeted promptly by Mahmoud. Our guide Mahmoud was exceptionally talented at reading Hieroglyphics and taught us the entire history of Egypt. We started at the Valley of the Kings where I visited the tombs of Tutankhamun. We were the first or second to arrive so I was able to get amazing photographs of tombs. From there we went to the temple of Hatshepsut, Karnak, and Luxor. I would recommend Bastet Travel to anyone as I didn’t have to worry about anything and especially our guide was incredibly knowledgeable, and was able to describe the history of Egypt with passion, and detail. When we arrived to Karnak it was the most incredible temple I’ve ever seen in my life.

Trip of alife Time

We first met Ali when he collected us from Cairo Airport. He was early and waiting for us very patiently. We were very tired from the flight and Ali made the journey so pleasant for us and accomodated our every need. He went on to explain some information about Cairo's hot spots as we drove by. His English is amazing. He was so polite and kind and offered if we ever need anything to text or call him. He gave us some information on where to travel around in cairo and good spots to go and see.
Later we visited the Giza Pyramids and the Egyptian museum, next day we visited the Citadel and Khan El Khalili. Adel was our guide, he really went beyond and above our expectations. Great thanks to Ali, Adel, and for sure Bastet Travel for the great arrangement.
